Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I donate online?
A: Click HERE to donate online. You will receive an email confirming your donation which can be used for tax purposes.

Q: Why was the Dodgen Foundation formed?
A: Due to the decreased Cobb County budget and resources to support Dodgen Middle School, a group of concerned parents in partnership with administration worked to create the foundation to help fund additional important resource needs which would not get funded in the school budget.

Q: Can my company sponsor the Foundation?
A: We also welcome corporate sponsorship and monetary or in-kind donations from businesses. We have multiple sponsorship levels available. Click HERE to learn more about our corporate sponsorship levels and how to sponsor.

Q: How is the Dodgen Foundation different than the PTSA and do we need both?
A:
First of all - we absolutely need both as they both play pivotal roles in supporting you and your student(s) at Dodgen Middle School. The PTSA is an outstanding part of Dodgen Middle School and does a ton of things to support Dodgen. The Foundation is different from the PTSA, yet designed to compliment it. National PTSA guidelines limit how the PTSA can spend money. The Foundation has greater flexibility in how it can fundraise and how it can allocate funds. This is where the Dodgen Foundation steps in and helps meet defined educational and financial needs at Dodgen Middle School, as identified by Dodgen administrators & teachers, and seeks your donations to help meet those needs.

Q: How can I donate to the Dodgen Foundation? And how much is needed from everyone?
A:
The Foundation will be asking for a $150 donation for each student in grades 6th through 8th. This will allow us to fund the resource needs that our administration & teachers have identified for the school. However, any amount of donation will be accepted and appreciated. Donations can be made securely HERE.

Q: Will my donation be used only at Dodgen Middle School?
A:
Absolutely! Your donation will be used exclusively for prioritized resources identified by Dodgen administration and teachers. These donations will be used to supplement the budget from Cobb County at Dodgen Middle School ONLY.

Q: I think my employer will match my donation. What’s the process for employer matching?
A:
Many employers will match eligible contributions made by employees and spouses. Your donation to the Dodgen Foundation could be doubled or even tripled! Every program is different, so please contact your Human Resources Department to get started. The process is usually very easy and should take no more than 5 minutes of your time. You can also click on the Dodgen Employee Match document to see a list of companies who have matched donations at some of the other area school Foundations. If you have any questions about this process or are unsure if your company will match, please contact us at DodgenFoundationMatch@gmail.com.
